Our SIG's

Picture of sig

Algorithms Group

We are coding enthusiasts promoting Competitive Programming at NITK. We conduct workshops, contests, and sessions like Codebuddy to connect juniors and seniors. This year, we're starting a mentorship program to help students develop coding skills for internships and placements.

Intelligence Group

We focus on understanding human intelligence and applying it to machines for humanity's benefit. We explore Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), emphasizing both research and applications. Our research covers ML theory, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Data Science, and their real-world applications. We also engage in competitive ML, participate in Kaggle contests, and apply ML techniques to software products.

GoogleDeveloperStudentClubs

We help students bridge the gap between theory and practice in software development. In a peer-to-peer learning environment, students expand their knowledge, build solutions to real problems, and assist communities through projects and events. We've worked on backend, frontend, and mobile development, and are now exploring game development.

Systems & Security Group

We are a group of passionate students exploring various aspects of computer systems. The Systems and Security SIG covers Networks, Distributed Systems, Blockchains, Security, OS, DBMS, and Architecture. We love working on large open-source projects like the Linux kernel. Whether you're into CTF security challenges or understanding large systems like Netflix, join us at NITK.
